Eloise Wright was a neighbor of mine who’s battle started with Breast Cancer. She had lost her husband about a year prior to finding out about her cancer. There was no family around to care for her. I took her under my wing for the next 2 years. She said I was an Angel sent to take care of her. That I did! I worked full time from home, had 2 small children and a husband to take care of. But there was nothing more uplifting than to take her meals to her and see the beautiful smile on her face. She was always dressed beautiful, makeup on and a smile. It always made me realize that no matter what life needs to be lived to it’s fullest. My kids loved to go visit with her and go with me to take her to the many doctor appointments. I think they felt the love she had for life and was the best lesson I could have asked for. Not only for our kids but for myself! After about 2 years Eloise was ready to go home and be with her husband. The battle was tough but I know she is back with her husband and they are enjoying their lives together again.
