The DFW 3-Day Topped $7.5 Million!

Wow!

We’re home from the DFW 3-Day, and I can’t even begin to share all that happened.  What an experience!  Each walker on this team had a completely different experience.  And I can say that after doing this walk four times, I’ve had four complete different walks.

For me, some of the highlights this year included:

* The drive to Dallas with four crazy women and a stray Pit Bull.  Okay, we just had the stray in the car for about 5 miles, but those were five miles when my truck was on Empty, and my nerves were frayed.

* A side trip by the American Girl store.  Wow.  What an amazing place.

* Meeting new friends and catching up with old ones!

* Watching Kayren, Lisa and Darla carrying flags at Opening Ceremonies.

* Spending much of my time walking with my dear friend Amy.

* Coming into camp with Cissa and Amy.

* Having our personal Consierge, Anthony, take care of us.

* Walking 20 miles in one day — on MY feet!

* The support of a remarkable team when I needed it most.

* Spending time in the Memory Tent and writing a letter to Mom to fill her in on life in Biggsville.

* Having a friend like Michelle who stuck by me even when I was slow and the going was tough.

* Having friends like Amy and Sherrie guarding the door while I peed in some pretty interesting locations!

* Celebrating with and for Cheri at the Finish Line.

* Doing the Conga Line at Holding.

Those are just a few of my favorite moments.  If you want to join us for those moments next year, and a bajillion more, you can register at www.the3day.org/goto/teamtiara.  Or you can register by phone at 1-800-996-3Day.  Either way, you can save $35 until November 23 by using the discount code “Power10.”
