$1 Million Raised!!!

The first year Lisa Harrelson and I walked the Breast Cancer 3-Day for the Cure, raising $1 Million for Breast Cancer research and Pink Warrior support was nowhere on our horizon. We didn’t dream of directly funding metastatic breast cancer research grants or mammograms for men and women who don’t have health insurance. We were too busy trying to stay warm in our freezing pink tent.

Tuesday, October 20, Team Tiara crossed the $1 Million mark in Fundraising.  If you have ever supported us financially, walked with us, stalked us, sent us camp mail or prayed for this incredible team, this is YOUR Victory to share. Thank You for being a part of this!!!

Of course, we aren’t done yet — we will continue to walk this walk until we find a CURE. Just this last week I learned of another young friend who had been diagnosed. Young is the key word here. We have kiddos to raise — women my age should NOT have to spend those precious years fighting for their lives.

If you have already donated this year, THANK YOU! If you haven’t, we have several walkers who are still working on their fundraising. We ask that you donate via Team Tiara, our 501(c)3 non-profit foundation, so we can have the flexibility to steer those funds where they are needed most.  You can easily donate at and will immediately receive a receipt via email for your taxes. (All donations are 100% tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.)

If you would prefer to make your donation to the Komen 3-Day for the Cure, Kait is still working on her fundraising. She has raised the $500 required to participate on Youth Corps, but this is her last year to participate. She cannot walk until she’s 16, so Kait is determined to raise all she can this year. Kait’s fundraising link is You can also go to and choose a walker who has not reached the $2300 mark. The birls and I are kind of partial to Aunt Amber Biggs, cousins Rana Jameson and Callie Sandusky and first-year walkers Connor Lefkof and Samantha Rawlins.

Thank you so much for your support the last 10 years. When we crossed that $1 Million mark this morning, I had a very clear picture of my Mama doing a Heavenly Happy Dance. Friends, there is much bragging in Heaven today. It’s a glorious morning!

Don’t forget to schedule your Mammograms!  You are your best defense!!

Walking Strong,

D’Lyn Biggs
